Neebie here. Did I miss read the brochure where the chevy 2300 was listed as 14200 (E450)?

The Chevy is built on the Express 4500 chassis. The brochures have specs for both the Ford and Chevy. I believe the 14200 was referring to the GVW of the E450 Ford. The Chevy's capacity is slightly less.

I guess it is built both ways as RV Direct shows the chevy 23u as GVWR at 12,300.

Heard back from rvDirect they use a chevy e450 in the 23u

The Ford is 14,500 GVWR

The Chevy's we're running right now are 14,200lbs.

We used to build on the 12,300 chevy, but they made us a really good deal on the 14,200...so we run those instead (have for the last 2 years maybe)
