Component warranties

I have reread all the threads on warranties and cannot find an answer to my question that follows-
I have decided to postpone the purchase of any extended warranty on my new Forester for at least 10 months or so and depend on the one year FR warranty. I understand that in some cases the individual components may have up to two years of warranty through them. My question is, do I need to register each component separately with the respective manufacturer or am I automatically registered through my FR warranty?
Thank you.

Having experienced some of this - register all of them. It will save you time if something does go wrong in the future. We had a problem with the Sealand toilet and it took less than 3 minutes for them to decide to replace under the 2 year warranty and ship us a new one.

Thank you for the info. I was leaning that way even if it was redundant.
