Damaged compartment door

Does anyone know where I can locate an exterior compartment door size 26 x 41 for a 2018 3011 DS? I talked to Forest River parts and they said they don’t sell them anymore. They still make this model of rv so why wouldn’t they have a door available? Suggestions appreciated.

You could also get a used one from an RV salvage yard. Search the internet for yards near you and start calling them.

Sherol,

Sorry to hear you were misinformed by your first phone call.

@KaryKatz is your best resource in this thread, and we believe has guided you correctly.

The cargo door you mentioned was likely manufactured by Challenger Door, which became a subsidiary of RV industry supplier Lippert in November 2020.

Along with following @KaryKatz expert advice, you can check the site linked below for awareness, guidance, and possibly a purchase:

https://corporate.lippert.com/about/...hallenger-door

I hope this information helps.

here is the Forest River part number for the White baggage door.

DOOR, COMPARTMENT 42" X 27" WHITE BOTTOM EXTRUDED HINGE 20X39185A

you will have to have a body shop match the paint

Umm...

Umm...Forest River won't direct-sell to owners. They insist that owners order from a local dealer, thus paying markup and handling fees.

That's why others have suggested that you order directly from Lippert if you can.

Maybe Kary Katz can take your VIN and provide the exact paint codes you need, so the new door can be locally painted to match.

I just reached out to Lippert yesterday about the same thing, but different size. I've also had some good luck with Bontragers down in Mississippi (I think). RV salvage yards are hard to find. My local repair shop guided me to a few as well. I've also seen a few eBay listings just never the size I need.
