I've got the Ultraguard and angle iron mounting bracket. Installed by my dealer it's welded on.

It's for peace of mind protection but it's not a guarantee

Helps to not tailgate, look way far ahead, don't break the speed limit. That way you might avoid debris to start.

The max speed limit, from the owners manual, on most towed vehicles is 65 mph.

Was on a 5,000 mile trip this summer, no debris hitsClick image for larger version

Nothing will prevent your toad from looking EXTRA filthy if you happen to drive on wet roads. Just look at the back of any minivan or SUV these days. They all have rear wiper blades. Not so with passenger cars because their aerodynamics are different than a vehicle with a flat back. The spray coming off the back of your rig, will coat the toad more than you can imagine. Essentially your toad is tailgating all the time, so it should be no surprise if you inspect it up close, the front will not look as nice as a vehicle NOT used as a toad. Buying a vehicle brand new, then making it your toad, will age it before it’s time…..but there is no doubt that a toad makes mobility easier than using your RV when you have one much over 25 feet.
