I’ve got the Milwaukee - how are you guys threading the hose onto the valves on the rear tires of a E450? How are you fitting your fingers into the wheel holes and getting the end on the valve?

I’ve always needed a dual chuck to get at the valves in order to air them up - and sometimes even then I have to pull the wheel liners off to get the right angle on the outer tire stem.

Which reminds me - I have to find a way to notch my liner so I don’t have to pull it off anymore, or find a way to dress up that tire so it doesn’t look so bad if I leave the liner off.

I have an E450 with dual rear wheel and stainless steel wheel liners.

I have valve extenders on the inner tires which easily protrude through the holes in the liners and the outer tire valve is not extended but is reachable through a slot opposite of the other tire through the dual chuck with a pulling action.

It sounds as though you dont have valve extenders. You should not have to trim the liners. Maybe a picture would help.

What I did was have installed a set of dually valve extensions I purchased. All valves are reachable, the valve steam extensions are designed for high pressure situations verse the plastic extensions that came with the rim and TPMS our rig came with.

The other option I had before was to modify a tire chuck with female threaded adapter to make connection between air compressor and chuck. Worked but not great so went with valve extension kit.

I had valve extenders on a previous rig - I found they leak eventually. So I took them off - which leaves me w/ just the OEM stems.

Though I did not have Dually valve extenders installed. I’m talking about the ones that screw onto the existing OEM stem.

I've now used it to bring tires up to 95 psi from 60. Works great, just need to change batteries after 2 tires.

If that's been your experience and you dont want to use them on this particular rig, your options are limited
