How do I know if my Sunseeker has this option from Ford?
The owner manual describes the system, but says "if equipped".
I want to safety wire some extra keys to the chassis somewhere, and wonder if I can just get a standard Ford blank.
I just had extra Ford keys cut for my 2017 Ford chassis. A couple of bucks to make 2 copies.
Your Ford is newer. Go to a reputable key cutting place and get ONE made.
How much can it cost? Then you’ll know.

I had an extra key made for my E450 2018 2291S. It’s a 2017 E450 chassis, it is a regular Ford key, no anti-theft chip in it. I went to a locksmith, not a hardware store to have the key made.
Yes, I figured out it's a standard Ford key. I didn't want to risk setting an "attempted theft" code if it had the PATS system. I'm glad it doesn't.
Makes things a lot simpler.
Be careful!!! the 2021's E-Series chassis are out now. The keys and it's system may be different. A customer wanted an extra keyfab and it took a week to come in. Ford started making 2021 E-Series in January 2020.
