Dometic Refrig Issue

When hooked up to shore power for several weeks. Noticed every time opened refrig door could smell propane. Never smelt it in coach otherwise. Did notice it outside around tank. Had lines checked when temp tank attachment was done. No leaks were found. I do know the pad site was not level. I did try to use support jacks & boards to bring it more level. Heater was used most the time. The smell was always inside the refrig every time it was opened.
The recall was preformed on this unit. However a elec wire did come loose causing it to not work. That was. Fixed and it worked fine just smell of propane when gas button was pushed off.

Wish I could help out with this one but I don't have any idea what it might be. You are positive it is propane your smelling and not an ammonia smell?

Angry

Well can't be sure
What bothers me to be either the gas would have to be on correct?

Then if the elec connection to operate the refrig was loose that caused it to not work at all. Possible the connection for switch between gas / elec operations could not be hooked up correctly now.

Think best contact Dometic and take her in to let them check it out. I really do not trust the different service tech I have had to dothe recall & service. Being loose wires were apparent to begin with and may be issue still.

If you smell gas leave it to a trained Pro. Not worth taking chances!
