Double door fridge doors open while driving

I have a new 3050 with double door refrigerator. According to the book there is an automatic lock when the engine starts, mine does not lock. The book mentions a manual lock. I can't find either and the doors fly open on these curvy mountain roads. Any suggestions for return welcome.

check for a black wedge that fits in the middle of the doors. this keeps the frig from getting moldy. it slides out, and then the doors will close. my dealer left it in , so my doors would not stay shut

Have that piece for mold protection when In storage. It doesn't keep doors shut while driving.

Velcro OneWrap. Wrap it around the handles to tie them together. We do it for cabinets and stuff.

The double door handles are recessed with no opening. No place to wrap.

Not sure that would work with French door fridge. But a good option. Still this fridge should lock it self for the money.

It should work- you don't have to go around a corner for it to work.

But, you're right - given what the manual says, there seems like there should be some kind of built-in lock. Unfortunately, the manuals are so generic, that it could be a different fridge than what you have installed.

Double door fridge doors should stay shut. You have to "push in towards the middle" and pull to open the door. So something must not be letting the door handle spring back into locked position. Call dealer or Dometic.

I have had the same problem on my double door refrigerator in my new 3010ds.
There is a black plastic clip that was originally taped to one of the inside the refrig. shelves that looks like it may function as a way to secure the doors. I will try it next trip, and hopefully no more milk flying out and seeping under the slide out.

If you can't figure it out, sounds like a temporary duck tape fix across the doors when driving til you get to a dealer.

Something is not functioning correctly. Definitely back to dealer. I'll rig something to get home.
