The first one can be discharged much further than the second one.

That makes a HUGE difference for boondocking RVers and the boating equivalent.

No...they are basically identical. You are thinking flooded lead acid.

Today, I put in a fresh set of Duracell group 31 AGM batteries replacing a 5 year old set in my 2014 Sunseeker 3170. The old set was working well without issue and was reading good voltage with the volt/ohms meter.
I took the old batteries to a shop to have them properly tested with a load tester. I was pleasantly surprised.
I must say that I am using a Progressive Dynamic PD9660 deck mount and it stays plugged in when at home.
I asked my son if he wanted them for his 5ver or trolling motors. He stated Yes.
If the 2nd set does as well as the first set, I will be happy.
