Electric WH Switch Added

My 2012 3011 DS never had an inside switch for the electric water heater. I either had to flip the breaker or go outside, remove the cover, and turn the switch on from the back. What a pain.

So I added an inside switch complete with pilot light. Cost was less than $25

Sorry, the photo won't load. I'll try to load it later.

Details. I bought a single-pole switch with pilot light; ran 14-3 romex from the switch to the WH junction box. One black wire from switch to incoming power, one red wire from switched leg to the load going to the WH, and one white wire from the junction to the neutral side of the switch. The neutral wire is necessary for the pilot light to operate. It took abiut 30 minutes including cutting a hole for the electric box installed to the left side of the receptacle located on the front of the sink
