Entertainment system upgrade

Good morning all,
2023 Sunseeker 3010 classic
Has anyone upgraded the entertainment system. Remove the protruding screen and put in an in dash system? Maybe new speakers?
Thanks,
Scott

I’ve changed out the media player and speakers in my 2015 2801QS, it’s a double din size. I put the in a Pioneer NEX dvd player without navigation, I use a separate Garmin GPS plus there is navigation with Apple Car Play.
You have the new dash style but I believe it should still be the double din size.
I would take a look at Crutchfield and check for the wiring adapter and trim surround, they also include hookup diagrams as well.
I selected my vehicle as a Ford E-450 Chassis Cab (Cutaway)

I’ll double that suggestion to first check with Crutchfield - and encourage you to speak with their well-trained and helpful staff if you have any questions.

I just purchased a 2018 FR FORESTER MBS about 6 weeks ago. After purchased I found a door speaker was blown. I researched the audio system and found out the dash system has a speaker in each door, 2 tweeters in the dash (one in each dash corner), and a speaker in the middle of the dash. Youtube is a wonderful asset. After a discussion with the folks at Crutchfield, I decided to replace only the two door speakers. I upgraded those speakers with a dual cone model. Be careful removing the door panels. Wiring was simple.
Once completed, the sound is good. I decided not to mess with the dash speakers because I could not expect concert sound due to all the rattles in an RV. At least I do not have that low pitched buzzzzzz when the bass player hits a low note!!!!

I changed out the door speakers in our 2017. The in dash unit a Furrion was actually not to bad. My main reason for changing the door speakers was more to eliminate road noise by adding a sound damping material to the doors. Crutchfield.com just so happened to have a great deal on some JBL coaxial speakers.

The sound damping material made a huge difference in road noise, and also actually gave the speakers some bass response. It took 18 square feet of sound damping material. There is just a piece of plastic glued to the door, so I used that for a pattern.

What is "sound dampening material" and where does one get it?

My 2016 is so noisy I don't even bother trying to listen to the radio.

Seems a lot of noise through the floor and engine cowling as well.

Thanks for any input.
