Euro Recliner

Newbie( to Sunseeker) here: 3170ds. Has anyone doing a couch replacement used a Euro Recliner—Thomas Payne for example —on the slide out platform? I travel alone and am considering being able to turn it—with footstool—partially lengthwise so asto be at an angle facing the swing out TV but staying within the platform. Remaining space would be used for a furniture piece (file cabinet?) yet to be decided. Things to consider would be—-?? All advice appreciated.

Welcome to the FRF Sunseeker section. If you scroll down you will find two recent threads on the subject. Search this forum is another useful tool.
You can also go over to the Forester Section to find more input. Happy reading.

Many Forester and Sunseeker owners have replaced the sofa with various recliners and other items. Including the Euro Recliner. I don't think you will have a problem with what you want to do, just be careful with what you choose for the remaining space. You don't want to overload the slide with too much weight. It might put a strain on the slide motor when engaging it. Otherwise, have fun!

BTW, welcome to the forum!

I pulled the dinette from my SS 2300 several months ago and looked at the euro recliners or theater seating. Due to the high price of the euro recliners and several negative reviews, I went with a couple cheap (less than $100) recliners from Walmart. I may upgrade to one of the other options later....

I got it and thanks. Busy trip planning and forgot to acknowledge. Helpful encouragement for me as I head for Colorado.

Hoglou,

One of these days I'll get around to reading "Forums 101" and figure out how to post pictures. Since I retired I spend more time "killing brain cells", not trying to use them....
