Need help with removal of the circled trim moldings (see photo). Also, where to purchase these trim pieces. RV is a 2018 Forester 3011DS. Thank you!

Moved thread from the General Tech and Repair section to the Forester and Sunseeker sub-forum since the OP is asking Forester-specific information and possible factory support.

See below for Forester parts contacts. They may be able to give you part numbers for the trim, may still be able to provide them, or may be able to give you the name of their vendor so you can order directly.

Trying to think back to a repair I made to a previous motorhome. If I remember correctly the trim in the top picture either snaps into a metal channel or slides in from the the end. The one at the bottom is secured with screws from the underside of the trim. Mine might have been different than yours but it looks the same.

That looks to be vinyl insert molding trim. It is flexible and snaps into place with the edges going inside a small gap in a metal strip. Very commonly available in black and white with lesser availability in other colors. The ends probably have a screw thru the trim to keep it from sliding. Remove the screw and the rest can be easily pulled out. I recently replaced similar trim on my trailer, sun had made it fragile and it split.

Here's a link to EBay with a lot of sellers of the stuff. I saw black, white, bone, blue, red, etc...

Thank you. Do you know where these trim pieces can be purchased?

Hmm. I thought the original poster was after the metal channel, not the vinyl trim insert. As noted, the vinyl trim insert is available from dozens of sources including Amazon, eBay, and all the RV sources. It comes in several widths. 1" is the most common for rain gutters, but other trim sections can be 7/8" or 3/4".

The top trim piece is not the vinyl insert type. i believe it either slides on to a channel or snaps over the channel, as Sunseeker16 stated.
