F450 Throttle Response

Several times on recent trips, have had a non-response from the throttle when starting from a dead stop. Feather the pedal a couple times and it sort of just "kicks in" and goes.

Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like you might have a faulty Throttle Position Sensor. Suggest you plug an OBD2 reader in and see if it threw any codes. Also, your chassis is an E450 not an F450.

Hi Ducky,

Finally got time to take RV to automotive store for code scan. Only thing that showed up was "loose gas gap" which had occurred on last trip after a fill-up in Oregon (where they do the pumping).

No other codes.

So, guess I'll just wait for a total failure of "something". The frequency of this happening is only once or twice on every journey, so really not causing any situation, at this time, that is putting us in jeopardy.

If you have any other thoughts, appreciate hearing them.

I have seen mass air flow sensors act in strange ways also

My 2019 F450 work truck has always had an issue with irratic throttle response.
