Ford E-450 Key FOB programming

CW never did find my second set of keys, so they had me go to a Ford Dealership and get a second set made, then send them the invoice. Now I have a new FOB with no instructions. Been looking on the net for Ford E-450 and nothing showing up newer the 2008. Do the new E-450 FOB's program the same way as the old ones. Thx, Ben

I could be wrong but I think FORD has to have the vehicle to program new keys to work. I had a key pad installed and when they did it they had the vehicle and the one key fob. After I got it back the spare key fob didn't work. Had to bring the unit back to get the second Fob and key programed to function.

Take it to your Ford dealer they will program to your vehicle. LATER RJD

You can do it yourself, you need all the key fobs to do it.

Thx Eagle, I'll give it a try. I do know when you program a new FOB, it will wipe out the program on the old FOB, so you have to do both at the same time. I do have a little experience in that I did a Nissan years ago.

Just got finished programming the new and the factory FOBs. Only took a couple of minutes. The instructions on how to do this were in my Ford owners manual on page 48. Not hard at all.

I got mine done by a locksmith if they have the cumputer that programs fob keys.

You can do it for free sitting in your own motorhome. The instructions are in your owners manual.
