In the process of getting this 2019 Forester. Is this a mistake?

We love our 2014. We bought used and the original owner took real good care of it.

Found receipts for indoor storage from them and we have been storing indoors as well.

The only difference is the change in the slide mechanism that I don’t like in the newer ones. Ours has the track mounted completely to the slide instead of the bars mounted in each end.

Assuming you pick it up I’d plan on traveling with a full water tank - makes a world of difference in the ride with the extra weight on the rear suspension.

We’ve also modified the television mount above the cab so it swivels toward the couch now.

Also removed the jack knife and replaced with dual recliners and console from RecPro. Much more comfortable than the original.

As always a good PDI is the key.

Along with the above...

Since we were new to anything other than a tent when we bought ours, the wife took videos with her phone while they were going through operation of things.

Those came in handy from time to time our first year until we got used to all the systems.

Ependydad posted a trailer PDI checklist http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post2191289 in another thread in this forum most of the items cross over to motorhomes. Be sure to check tires and air bags

We have a 2017 we have had since Jan of 17 and we love it. I see many complain about the air conditioner not being big enough. We have no problems with tinted windows in the coach. No complaints so far. Can't say I'm a real fan of most of the lights on the control panel, especially since I haven't got my new phone to work yet. I liked it on the old phone before the app was updated.

Those skylights don’t help for the heat unless you a are looking for warmer.

That’s why I made the inserts I posted here for them. Work great.

We also replaced the pleated shades that came with ours with the MCD blocking roller shades.

The two items above have made a huge difference in the comfort inside and the ability of the AC to keep up even when hot out.
