Forest river Sunseeker contact info

Im sure this has been posted but could not find it, Looking for Forest river (sunseeker) contact info,

Having a problem with Ford warranty, They say that my unit was put in service in 12- 2012.
I did not purchase it until 01-2014 (New) . Its in the dealer for a drive line vibration problem and they are denying warranty.

I would start via email (written provides a time line). Use your VIN in the subject, so FR can see the unit history - and update it with the current items. Give them a few business days to reply.


I had excellent results when the selling dealer was less than cooperative. Keep in mind it will not usually be an instant reply, but reply they will!

OP indicated that he brought his motorhome in 01/2014. If this is confirmed, then Ford warranty should be five years or 60,000 miles from that date. I could be wrong if Ford was offering a lesser warranty period earlier that what is on my 2014 SunSeeker. I am under the understanding that warranty starts when it is brought new by the first owner, not when manufactured.

I have already receive a call from Forest River. Jim Feece called me back within 1 hour of sending the request. He explained exactly what needed to be done to correct it.

It all comes back to the dealer to correct it. They have to send in the correct delayed warrant start date to Ford motor company.

As usual , Can not get the dealer to return any calls.

But we will keep calling and trying.

Good luck in getting your drive line vibration repaired. We have a 2017 3010DS that was at the dealer for seven of the first twelve months we owned it before they got it fixed correctly and that happened at the Ford dealer, not the rv dealer. The drive line was not built correctly when the chassis was extended.

Did FR confirm when warranty actually starts? Is it once it is sold to the customer? Or when it arrives at the dealership?

Hello
Finally received a call from the dealer where we purchased it, The person who called had already submitted the correct date to Ford Motor Company before he had even called me. It should be in Fords system on Monday. The Warranty start date is the day you take possession of your (new) Motorhome.

Can I ask what wasn't built right? I was just under mine and saw that the rear driveshaft support looked a little iffy. The original mount for the support was too high so the used a piece of channel iron to extend it down. That's not too bad but it looks like they should have extended it further than they did. Right after the last support, the drive shaft takes a steep drop to the differential. The rest of the three piece shaft is fairly straight. This is not a warranty claim since mine is a dinosaur. (2003 3150 sunseeker) I'm having issues with a howl around 65 mph and it seems to be from the driveline.

Drive line angle was good. The shaft had to be rebalanced. Looks like it might have thrown one of the balance weights off. Taking it out this weekend, We will see how it is.

The supports were fine but the extended piece was not correctly attached in a straight line matching the other u-joints. Once that was corrected the vibration and howl were gone.

Good to know about this issue. We haven't had any issue with our 2017 Sunseeker 3010DS.
