Forest River Sunseeker Service

I would like to thank the folks at Forest River for doing repairs to my 2016 3010 DS under their Goodwill program. Not positive that is the correct terminology but I have heard that thrown around while taiking to them.

Two main issues were the main slideout clearance destroying the seals. The other was a seperation of the wing wall behind the cab on the passanger side. The wing wall is the short section of wall behind the cab door that intersects with the main cabin wall. Apparently the wing walls constructed of wood were deterating. Not only did they replace the passanger side they replaced the drivers side both using composite instead of wood.

They corrected the slide clearance and to my surprise replaced a bunch of other things that I never thought about.

I'd like to thank Brian Clemens and the Sunseeker group for their help getting this lined up. I'd also like to thak Sarah and all of the folks at the Service Center for their help. They wewre fantastic to deal with.

Forest River was under no obligation to help with these repairs since it was long out of warranty, but they did handle the repairs at no charge.

I'd be very interested in hearing how you were able to get these repairs done as my 2017 3010DS is having the same issue with the slideout seal being torn.

All I can say is I made my case by presenting the historic issues, the repairs I have paid for that didn't work and did it in a diplomatic way. I was totally prepared for rejection but it never hurts to ask.

I thought Forest River didn’t operate a factory service center like Newmar and Winnebago do. I’ll have to look into it. Fortunately my 2023 hasn’t needed any repairs at all….yet.

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology but it was a FR family off county rd 1 in elkhart.
