Forest River Sunseeker--Sofa Bed

Hello--last year we bough a used 2013 3100 DS Forest River Sunseeker . It has a 2 person sofa along the side, behind the driver. This supposedly opens into a bed --jackknife style--but I can not seem to find a latch or release to do this ? Any ideas ?

At the outside edge, you have to lift and pull toward you to get it open. I hooked a lanyard to part of the frame under the seat to make it easier. They are stiff by design. To close, lift up on the front, pull the seat back toward s you then push seat down and back at the same time. Not too hard once you do it a couple of times. Hope this helps!
