Forester 3051S MODS and PLEASE share yours!!
Have completed a lot of MODS to our 2013 Forester and add-ons like DIRECTV Traveler satellite (superb), TV sound bars, larger bedroom TV, front and rear shocks, steering stabilizer (superb), new TV mount for main TV so that it swings out further, front driver seat rotating base, new sink faucet, and many more. A few pic's of some recent MODS:
Shoe rack with sitting bench from Amazon that fits perfectly under/in front of the fridge and almost an identical match to wood trim in MH.
Search in Amazon for Beautiful wooden shoe bench. Retailer is Furniture maxx.
Bathroom Sink cabinet for laundry was not convenient and hinge came off from use. So I added interior hinges and changed how it opened.
Living Area/Bunk curtain color was awful so my DW sewed new ones over the previous ones and also the bunk window curtains.
Bedroom curtains added over top of shades with a tension rod for looks and to make room darker.
Now show some of your Forester MODS!!!!!

Our first modification was tinting all the windows. Next, we installed Fantastic fans throughout. We upgraded the awning to one with the metal cover and installed a window awning covering the dinette and sink windows. Upgraded wing antenna to Jack antenna. Changed out galley, vanity, and shower faucets. Replaced mattress. Removed the vanity cabinet hinge, so we could use the hamper space for storage. Replaced the patio light with a motion detection light. Replaced the front curtain with a heavier and lined one. Replaced the wheel liners with custom aluminum rims and steel valve stems and extensions. Also added a stainless steel tip to the exhaust. Changed out the sewer bumper caps. Added a screen door bar. Changed out the glass on the entry door with tinted automotive glass and installed a pleated shade. Installed tire pressure monitoring system. Replaced microwave/convection. Added a keyless entry system to the front door and attempted to replace the main entry door with a keyless system; however, it needs to be reviewed by the engineering department. Lined the a/c doghouse with reflectix and also cut out pieces to fit between windows/skylights and shades for super hot days of camping. Installed a piano hinge and magnet under the sofa for ease of opening. Next mod will be to install a bedlift kit being it takes both of us to get to the storage under it.

You really did some wonderful modifications! Did you do them yourself, or have an RV place do them for you? I wish we had an awnings over our slide dinette. The sun gets very bright and an awning would mean not having to practically black out the interior by pulling the shade down, even though the windows are already dark tinted. I also like the idea of switching out the door glass. Again, did you have a glass company or RV place do it?

Thank you! We did some of the modifications ourselves, but awnings were done by Camping World. Having the one over the dinette is nice not only or shade, but allowing the window to be open on rainy days. We took our rig to a local auto glass shop for the entry door window. Have seen a post where someone did it himself, but didn't cost much to have it done.

Did you install the shade over the entry door new window, or did you have someone do that? I have installed shades, blinds and curtain rods in my homes, but never in the RV.

I installed the light blocking shade (Levelor from Lowes) by attaching it with screws to the underside of the cabinet above the door.

I know Skip got his chrome tip aftermarket, I also installed one on my unit , I purchased mine right from Ford, its the same tip installed on the Ford pickups with a 3 inch exhaust.

Got the exhaust tip (Flowmaster) through Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...ing+-+clamp+on
We had a Sharp micro/convec in the Georgetown and loved it, so got one for the Forester. Very user friendly does a great job!

Thanks All.
Some nice mods and ideas. Appreciate all of them.
We are doing the final inspection and hopefully brining our first one home tomorrow. DW and I both looking forward to getting out in it.
I'm sure some of these will make it onto our list of "yeah, let's do that".
Will do some additional posts when we get into making our changes Have a feeling the formica countertop is going to be one of the first the DW wants to change out....
SkipnTerri, how did the new awnings work out over the windows?

Congrats on your RV! No doubt you'll love it! We are just completing our longest stay in ours -- three months! Don't have any complaints! We have one awning over the dinette and galley windows. It's a great addition giving shade, privacy, and ability to have the window open when it's raining.

How is your exhaust tip looking by now? We're disappointed with Flowmaster. It turned gold and we've tried various polishes and 'remedies' to no avail.
