Forester counter top

When looking at a 2014 3011ds in Florida, the sales rep
told me that the Forester was coming out with better
(higher end) counter top material.

Has anyone heard/seen/observed/looked at/noticed
this???

Should be. They're all coming off that way now.

First time I saw this post was today. Must be that pesky day job getting in the way again.

It is a thermo-formed laminate top call Surfx. Looks sort of like granite. I really like a travertine looking material they just came out with. Maybe for 2016

(The pictures they use in the brochure are of real interiors, but they light them in such a way that they look a little surreal. They light them so they look spacious!)

New type counter tops is just the beginning. I had to go by the dealer's lot today to drop off a Directv Dish that they are to install on our 3051S when it is delivered. On the lot was a newer 2014 than the 2014 we looked at a couple of months ago. What a difference a couple of months makes. This one had the new counter tops - VERY nice! A nicer more useable kitchen faucet - the pullout spray type, a new cooktop with glass cover rather than the old metal type cover, a knife holder at the back of the cooktop, new type reading lights over the bed, and probably some other items that I can't remember. I was very impressed. Only problem will be - if mine doesn't have all these goodies when it is delivered I will be disappointed. I won't be upset because when I ordered my rig I did not expect those things but now that I have seen them - it sure would be nice to have them.
