Fresh water tank

I can't find the valve to drain any fresh water out of the tank. 2016 Sunseeker 2430C.

If it's built like my 2016 3010 DS it's in the compartment behind the passenger side rear tire. There is a door inside the compartment.

Do yourself a favor and connect a short length of PVC or PEX pipe to the drain where it comes out under the floor. It’s a simple install. Attach a quarter turn valve at the outlet end. Then draining the tank requires just a quick turn of the valve. No doors to open.

It’s a very simple mod. I used some spare stuff left over from other projects. Total time to install is less than 10 minutes. You could eliminate the valve on the vertical pipe behind the trap door and move it to the end of the extended pipe. The cost would be insignificant.

I like that!! Didn't really like opening TWO doors to get to that drain valve...
Thanks for that tip!

emm-dee’s mod is convenient but consider that it may have a few issues. Not that it will, just that it could.

1. It puts water outside of the heated compartment. So if you camp in sub freezing conditions it could freeze and break the pipe or valve and then you can have a skating rink for a patio.

2. It may be susceptible for road debris impact. A tire tread (hopefully not yours) could take it out. You probably would not know till you try to flush.

3. Amokians. Ya just never know. They are very fast and easily amused. Just sayin.

YMMV

1...It’s called a drain valve. When open all the water leaves so there is nothing to freeze.

2...Look closely at where the line/valve is located behind the flap at the rear wheels and behind the exhaust pipe. If something gets past those to damage the drain line I wouldn’t be concerned about replacing $3 worth of drain compared to the cost of the other damage.
