Furnace issue

We recently purchased a 2019 Forester 3011 on October 11,2018. We're out for our first extended trip and are in he Denver area.

Cold, snow and wind. The furnace kicks in quite often. However, the heat coming out of the ducting is not so good! When we open the under sink cabinet door and a couple of drawers the heat abundantly flows out. The aluminum flex duct gets hot and probably not insulated.

Anyone else have this issue? If so, have you corrected it? How?

Thanks for your comments in advance.

The manufacturers often mess up the furnace ducts. Ducts are squashed, ducts are punctured, etc. etc. You will need to trace the ducts and look for issues.

I would agree. Check all ducts for possible damage. They are only thin foil and rip, puncture, and tear easily.
