Furniture weight

My wife and I are thinking about replacing our jackknife sofa with theater seating in our 2015 Sunseeker 2860DS. We are hoping to get it with recliners but not power. I was wondering if anyone knows if the weight will be comparable? I've looked at specs for our couch and what we want to replace it with, but only find dimensions and not weight. It will be sitting on our Livingroom slide out so I am hoping the weight will be similar. Any help would be appreciated.

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Forester and Sunseeker sub-forum.

I replaced our dinette with theater seats; I don't have weight numbers, but I'd surmise the seats weren't more than 50 lbs heavier. A tiny amount in the grand scheme of things!

Because the manufacturer’s routinely ship those products, their weight should be readily available.

If you have a moment, search the forum on this issue. I think you’ll find very strong opinion supporting the power seats over the manually operated ones.

I just purchased a 2019 Mersedes Forest River Forester 2401WSD. It came from the factory with a double bench seat with kickout feet supports. We removed this seat and replaced it with a two seat theater/recliner. I cannot speak to weight difference, but am very satisfied with the results. When the slide is out there is good support.... but because I am "anal", I support the whole body slide-out with two external independent ground support poles. These are not for total slide weight support but for only mild support for any shifting. These, along with the rear motorized C-supports & parking break, allow the cabin to be totally stable.
Hope this helps.

Just FYI there is a discussion regarding the use of “slide supports” that you might want to read. I will post a link if I can find it. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the OP has a different chassis and the slide mechanism on the subject slide is different as well.

Theater seats will be heavier than the Jack Knife sofa. theater seats are much beefier, but they are usually built in three sections so not too hard to install.
