Gen Set start times?
I run my Gen at least monthly (I run it for air on the road so it gets used) and of course I stabilize/non eth fuel during the winter.
It usually takes 2, sometimes 3start sequences to get her to fire up
I select prime for 5-7 sec and hit start usually not engaging starter for more than 15 sec.and then I stop and prime a for a few more.
Once or twice I could tell I flooded it and gave it a 5min rest and then on the 3rd attempt it fired up
My questions are
What is your experience ?
and what is the duty cycle for our start motor before letting it cool for 30 minutes
Thanks I just hate hearing that thing grind away.
I work in aviation and I know you can’t just let a starter motor crank indefinitely
