Generator start battery

I have a FR Forester 2012...can someone please tell me which battery (chassis or coach) is used to start the generator.

The coach battery is used to start the generator.

Welcome to the forum!

Edit.... If the coach battery isn't completely dead, you could try starting the engine and see if it will charge the coach battery enough to get the generator to start. Had a friend do that with his Coachmen and it worked.

Look at the door of your battery compartment, it might have a diagram. My 2006 FR Lexington 255 does - it shows what is direct to the batter and what is through the inside fuse box.

[edit] - looking it does not say but the generator was directly connected - no fuse
