Thanks for this post. I have struggled with those covers for 2 years. I will put them in storage and get out a rattle can to clean the wheels up.

Good thread. I have a new summer project. I like the look with the trim rings.

What are you guys using to remove the lug nuts? Do you have a long bar or something? I know my air gun doesn't have enough torque to break the lug nuts loose.

I never took mine off. The center caps go over the hubs and studs. Masked off the areas for paint.

I do need to get to Harbor Freight and get a long breaker bar and deep socket with extension so I can remove it if necessary on the road. Thanks for reminding me. I keep one on my trailer but do not always have the trailer along.

lug wrench

I found and carry this; Pro-Lift 20 in. SAE Lug Wrench or maybe it is this one Traveller Lug Wrench, 25 in., Chrome, SAE at Tractor supply. Anyway, it is huge.

Haven't lost a wheel simulator in 15 years. They look great IMO. Maybe I've just been lucky.

RV in storage yard can't get picture right now. Look ant any large truck or tractor trailor and look at the valves on the duellies. Get installed in brass, that's what I did as soon as I got mine and it cost me about $85.00 to get te 4 of them installed
