Great Scanguage mount location-and very easy
This was so easy and looks like it's built into the dash when done. I have attached the finished look, except for wiping down the dash.
1. With the scanguage facing down remove the back cover by removing the 4 screws. BE CAREFUL HERE...the circuit board is loose.
2. Get 4 fiber washers and cut them into a 3/4 moon shape. Reinstall the 4 screws using the fiber washers with the cutout portion facing out. This allows the unit to fit into the opening with no cutting. I also placed RTV on the internal edges. Let this dry.
3. Remove the dash and coin tray. It pulls out.
4. Drill a hole big enough for the small end of the cable to slip through the back of the coin tray. I also placed RTV over the OBD connector so nothing slips.
5. Run cable through inside of the dash and plug into the OBD connector.
6.Place the scanguage into the hole and use black RTV to hold in place.
Done! 30 mins total labor.
