Hatchlift Bedlift Kit on the 2861DS

After scratching up and bruising my arm trying to lift our bed to get to the storage compartment, we definitely have to add this mod, but not sure if we can on the 2861 model where the bed slides out from the platform. Anyone add these struts to your 2861DS? Camperworld sells these. https://www.campingworld.com/standar...-kit?rrec=true If we can't add these which it looks like we can't now that I'm looking at the diagram on the Hatchlift.com site, what do you all use to lift your bed by yourself?

You can not add a lift kit on the 2861 as the pedestal is stationary and the top is what slides on the pedestal when the slide goes in/out.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. I wonder if there is anything we could invent that would work. It takes two of us to lift that bed. When I tried to do it myself, I bruised my arm. That is one heavy mattress and platform!
