Heat Pump

This is the first unit I've owned with a heat pump. Is it just like a home's heat pump? Will it cool the unit or do you need to keep it in air conditioning position?

I've noticed it has both selections.

Use the cool position for cooling and the heat pump position on the thermostat for heat. Just like home heat pumps, it will be effective at temps above freezing. Below that the furnace is better. Main advantage is using campground electricity instead of your propane for heat.

You can set your thermostat on auto and it will warm up on those chilly morns and cool late in the afternoon when you might need just a little cooling.Mine works like that but I mainly keep it on either heat or cool!

Happy Camping
