I have to change my heating element in a 2013 forest river sunseeker 2860DS and can not find what element to get. Does anyone know which one it take?

Welcome to the FRF Sunseeker Section. Based on what you wrote and how you wrote it, I suggest you take the model number off your COLD water heater and go to the Atwood (Most likely) or Suburban web site to find what you seek. I will try to find links for you to the most likely places... or you could just pull it out and take it to your local RV dealers parts counter and say; I need one of these.

Here’s a link to the Atwood Manual:
http://www.atwoodmobile.com/manuals/...rPartsList.pdf

Here is a link to the Suburan Manual. Pg 22 has the list.
https://www.rexandsonsrvs.com/manual...ice_Manual.pdf

Edit: So after all that, I’m wondering what makes you lean towards replacing the element? There are other things that could make it non functional.

If this is for the Atwood Water Heater you need the part number of the unit. That will tell you if it is a bolt on or screwed on element. They both are installed on the BACK of the heater.
