hot water low point on 3170ds

Hi, just took delivery on a 2014 3170ds. Not my first camper, is my first c. Found a low point drain behind rear axle on passenger side, next to it is the fresh tank drain line. But there should be two drains, one hot, one cold. Could the hot water tank be considered the hot water low point? If not I have not a clue where the drain may be. Thanks for any insight.

You are correct. there is only a cold low point last time I checked. Then the anode rod for the W/H.

Wonder why there's not a hot and cold low point? Every RV we've had before had both. Even my FIL's little 18' Jayco has both. Pretty nice, if the relief valve was open on the WH, it'd almost syphon most of it out. Brian, being there are hot water lines lower than the WH, might suggest adding a low point to the hot line too. Cheap add on, cheap insurance. Could probably drain some of it out of the outside shower. Never paid much mind to it on this one, but I'll probably add one now that I know this.

I stand corrected. there is a HOT and a COLD low point drain. One is red (hot) other cold (blue)
The hot (red line) has a cap on it under the unit there is no shut off on the hot line.

You probably have one since my Sunseeker 3120 has both drains.

I probably do. Just haven't ever needed it yet, so haven't paid it as much mind. I'm sure I'll look closer when I get back home, and go ahead and add the valves. The to do list has gotten longer faster than I can actually do stuff. Trying to narrow the list down as we may be selling it next year anyway. Possibly selling home and going back to fifth wheel / full timing. Guess all the mods will put somebody else ahead of the game.
