Sorry, are you asking about what batteries to replace with or what kind of charger to get??
What type of battery to get depends on what kind of camping you do, dry camp, full hookups etc. do you want to go dual 6 volt, single 12, or dual 12. I personally just replaced mine with a single group 31D deep cycle battery from Crown Battery cost @ $90.00. I do little dry camping and this works perfect for me.
That depends on how you plan to use your rig. Are you just looking for something to keep you running from shore power to shore power while driving? Do you do any dry camping or boondocking? Do you have a generator? Do you have.. or plan to have solar? How often and how long are your intended trips? What is more important to you... the least cost to get the job done... or biggest bang for your buck even if the initial cost is a bit more?
We are going on a seven day trip soon (really first trip in it). We will hookup at the campground but need some juice while driving. It seemed the last time we used the house batteries it did not last long (we took it out when we first bought it for the night with no hookup). We do not plan on solar but we do have a generator. We really want a great first experience and want no problems (especially since we had to replace the main car battery). We will be using the RV about 5 - 7 days when we do go.....
