How to remove headliner speakers and vents

My Forester has a roof cap leak and I need to remove the speakers and vents so I can remove the vinyl headliner and let it dry out. Tried prying the speakers and vents but they don't seem to snap off????

I knew if I looked hard enough, I would find my answers. The A/C vent just snaps off and the speakers were installed by screwing the base onto the ceiling and the cover GLUED ON. I found that they were made by Furrion and was able to buy them from Lipper, E-Trailer and AdventureRV.net. So I'm a happy camper now.

Had to pull off the rest of the cabover vinyl as it was wet. I have 2 computer fans attached to the speaker holes to vent and it seems to be drying up. Have 2 speakers on order as FR after screwing the speakers to the headliner glued to covers on. Also have samples of off-white vinyl foam backed coming so I can closely match it. Going to wait a few months too make sure it has dried out fully. Will use Mold Bomb to make sure there is no mold.

Vent removal

Sage
Can you post some details on removing the vent? Does it separate from a base or does the whole unit remove in one piece?

Thanks

I gave the A/C ceiling vent a tug on both side from the inside and it popped off. then I removed the screws holding the base on.
