How to run an additional 12v DC

Installed a new King Jack antenna today and I need an additional 12v DC for the install. Currently there is a 12v DC for the TV. Can I just splice into that wiring and hook up the power to the antenna, or do I need to run new wiring from the battery? Thanks for your help!

You first need to check the total amps load on the fuse supplying the TV and decide if you can add the load of your new device.

I don't know what RV you have, but I think Sunseekers and Foresters have 12 volts to every roof vent to make it easy to install vent fans. It may be easier to get 12 volts from a roof vent than from the TV. You can easily drop the vent's interior trim to see if a wire is there.

Are you replacing the standard antenna? There is 12 volts supplied to the amplifier on the standard antenna. Remove the cover plate that has the antenna connector and you will find an amplifier with 12 volt wiring.

Yes, we two 12v TVs. I have both devices hooked up to the standard TV outlet. I was concerned that it may be too many amps for the circuit. Does anyone know how many amps the Jensen TV pulls off that circuit?
