You need to post which model number you're asking about since the location is probably model-specific.

You need to provide more specific details for the model of your rig for people to help. There are a number of Forester models.

In the meantime, have you looked underneath your rig? Quite often, these hydraulic units are visible from the underside.

I consulted with Carnac the Magnificent and the answer is:
Inside the left (drivers) chassis frame rail about midships.
Best viewed from the passenger side with a good flashlight.

While you are under there checking the fluid level, i strongly - VERY strongly - advise/encourage also checking the 2 bolts that hold that pump to its bracket. Without those 2 bolts the pump can hang upside down from the hoses for some time; luckily i do not know how long. Two new bolts with double locking nuts are now holding mine.

Unless it’s a secret, maybe you could let others know where you found it that may read this thread, in case they have an issue.

As suggested it is just forward of the driver side rear wheels on inside of the chassis frame, up pretty high, doesn't look like it's easy to fill resivior, or operate manually. My unit is a 3051s forester!

I suggest you use a hand pump (photo attached) to fill the reservoir. As for manual operation, that is beyond hazardous.

Leveling jacks are giving me an error message saying they did not full retract. They seem to be completely up to me but I’m also getting a “service soon” message and now they will not operate at all. I have a ‘21 Sunseeker 3040ds and feel like I need to check the fluid but how do I get rid of the error message?
