The only way I would buy a class C with a Ford V-8 is if it came with the 6.7L power stroke Diesel, just like my 2022 F-350 has. It’s my 3rd superduty with the 6.7L and my first with the 10 speed transmission.
Judging from the 2011 & 2016 trucks I had, the 6.7L is a beast, and in the 2016 going up 5% & 7% grades 5-8 miles long it never kicked out of 6th gear (3.73 gears, DRW) it easily maintained 65-70 mph (in cruise control) going up and down the hills of West Virginia towing my 2020 30’ Puma 5th wheel. The only problem with the 2016 is that it got at best a 10.1 mpg average for the 1,600 mile round trip.
My current rig is quite a bit shorter than I was used to driving, 2006 Peterbilt 379, C-15 cat, 8 spd and a 53’ refer.
