keyless door handles (mod-3051)

Hey Folks,

I have a 2018 class C forester mod-3051

and I am thinking about getting a

keyless door handle so what are your

opinions on those?

I do like the idea of not having to carry

around some keys while goofing off

so could you guys/gals recommend

some to me?

Thanks

May I ask where you saw that. Even their customer service wasn't aware of any sale right now.

I can't find the sale either, but RVlock is the best. I installed mine two years ago and we still love it.
Wait for one of their sales.
They may have a Father's Day sale, but I don't see it yet. Just watch the forum, it will show up here.

I think the Fathers Day sale ended on Monday (DAD20). I've got it in email.

But I also thought Rvlock wasnt an easy solution for a Forester.

Thanks for the info. May I ask why you think they are not a good solution?

That might be some bad info from me. Sorry. I would just double check measurements to be sure it will fit your application. That's better advice.

You can get a stick on keypad, ford product, for the cab. Under $100.

Keyless RV door lock

I mounted one on my 2017 LaCrosse TT. I decided I would use it only while away locally while parked at a RV park. I feel safer with both locks locked while in storage. Also, the lock sticks out way farther than the origional lock. I have the folding handrail that came on the trailer. I discovered that the handrail hits the lock when you try to fold it in for traveling and wouldn't lock into the flolded position. I had to purchase the handrail spacer kit from etrailer.com to be able move the handrail out from the lock to stop the contact. Would I purchase the keyless lock again? Probably not.

I have an RVlock on my 2016 Forester and I love it. It's worth the price.

We installed ours on our signature 5ver....it was easy and we love it. Seriously thinking about getting some for the baggage doors.

I got the email for 20% off.

My last two units have had/have RVlocks, great not having to carry keys around. They have sales all the time best discount I can recall was 35% off for their 10 year anniversary last July (19th-21st) although they might have offered 40% on Black Friday?

They have 15% discount going on right now. Might just be for today. Use code RVLOCK15.

I put a keyless lock on my tt and love it. It was pretty easy to do and we love not having to carry keys all the time. Its one of my favorite mods. We do keep a spare key hidden just in case (if the batteries go dead you'll have a tough time getting in). good luck.

I installed a RVlocks on my door & on all my basement locks last spring.

I now have plenty of spares keys. One key unlocks the main door & the basements doors.

Spare key was needed when I left my rig at the RV shop for repair & they broke off a key in the lock.

I didn’t get one because there is only one door and it’s easier to carry its really small key in my pocket rather than the remote. My last unit had the keypad only thing and it had to be reprogrammed after ever third or fourth use. Looks nice though.

They will likely have a 4th of July sale.

Here are the door locks for Class C/A. Different model than what people use on trailers.
