Latest mod to my 3050s

Just added a built-in voltmeter wired directly to the batteries. I was tired of taking the step off every time I was boondocking to check the state of charge. The toggle switch obviously turns the voltmeter on and off. Mounted the voltmeter and switch to a standard house wallplate. Had to use a dremel so they would fit on the wallplate.

Very nice professional looking installation. Did you have any problems routing the wiring down to the batteries?

Not really. I already installed an inverter in the compartment to the left of the door. So I dropped a line into that compartment and hooked it to the battery cables that I already had running directly to the batteries.

Parts list would be helpful. I am lazy and you already done the hard part.

Nice little install. Been meaning to do the same...unscrewing and removing step to check batteries getting old. Now I have to copy your install.

Ordered these from Amazon.com and used a standard rocker switch.

Nice install!
But wall plate looks about $5 more than big box stores.
Search Results forÂ*80405Â*at The Home Depot
should have different colors also.
Another nice inexpensive MOD

Could not find this style in black at HD or BLowes. No 2 gang box. Wallplate screwed to the wall. Didn't see a need for it since it was 12v. I did install a 1 gang box for the inverter outlet I installed below this though.

Show a picture of your wiring connection to the batteries. The rest looks very nice!
