Leaking black tank 90' elbow
I'm back. This one really stinks. Pardon the sick humor. I have a leak where the 90' elbow, from the black tank, meets the blade dump
valve. After taking off the valve and the crossover fitting I discovered that the Forest River Factory improperly connected the fitting that attaches the valve to the 90 fitting causing a leak between the 90 and the valve connector fitting. I've made numerous attempts at sealing the leak from the inside and outside unsuccessfully. At this point the only way to properly repair it is to take the entire fitting assembly off from the bottom of the black tank to the blade valve. I have 2 problems. I cannot find a repair facility that will touch it and I do not feel comfortable taking the 90' off of the bottom of the black tank myself. My fear is that I will damage the black tank. It is attached to the bottom of the tank with a metal clamp which has a black sealing material covering most of the clamp.
Here I sit again with an investment I can't use because OF Forest River's poor workmanship. This is a 2016 Forester 3011DS WHICH HAS BEEN IMPECCABLY TAKEN CARE OF.
Anyone out there had any experience with replacing the plumbing in that area?
