Mine started going out 2 months after I bought it new from dealer. Mine are Dometic, and I contacted a local Dometic authorized repair dealer near my house instead of the dealer where I bought the unit which is 3 hours away. They agreed to get me the new strip under warranty and allow me to install it myself. Not too difficult, I had to unsolder the old leads and solder on the new strip, then I put shrink tubing over solder joints. Running the new strip into the track was the trickiest part. I had to carefully push it in bit by bit, you can't slide it in. Turned out great. I did notice that the replacement strip was built thicker and heavier than the original. I did the repair last October, still not a single light out.
