When we were checking out our unit it took forever for gauge on the black tank to register, the fresh tank went down real fast but the black & gray were slow to register. When I was about to add to my list they started working.

I was told when we bought the unit you could connect via phone with wireless (myRV) and bluetooth, which I assume is the LCI, maybe from the house I can't tell too far from RV.

Has anyone been able to connect via bluetooth? I don't know that it matters I bet if one is down so is the other. I called LCI and they acted like the only option was myRV, not what we were told, but they really know nothing about they system at our dealer.

Just things I wonder and I'm going to quit worrying about them all soon and just enjoy.

Just a quick follow up. My husband got an email back from FR and they sent him a complete manual for the tablet (we had nothing). He said these models were selling faster than expected and some sales and service departments have not caught up with the new systems.

Cool! Be sure to let me know if I misled you in any way as I don't have a manual either, lol.
Did they send it to you as a document, like a pdf file? I'd like to see it if they did.

myRV only connects to your phone/tablet over WIFI not Bluetooth. The manual on Lipperts site must be a older version, it is similar in looks & operation but no where near exact.
GG is the manual LCI emaiiled you the same as the one on their website?

The manual they sent my husband was a PDF. It's 15 pages but not sure if it's the same as the link. I wish I knew how to share here, but I am not tech savvy! Try emailing Travis @ FR his email is tlogan@forestriverinc.com. Hope this helps!

GG Thank you for forwarding the manual. It is the same one that is on Lippert,s web site. Like most documentation in the RV industry it never seems to be up to date, or apply to the implementation in the rig you have.

Glad it came through. You are so right! Maybe they need more women working in these places to get them straight 😜

Haha, it's the same manual that's on the Lippert tablet that came with my Forester. I was also hoping there was an update.

The majority of information that came installed on mine was not relevant to my make or model.

Same here. it's pathetic when the manual embedded on the device doesn't match the device!

I'd bet a dollar it's made in China and is simply being sold through Lippert. Rotsa ruck!

My 2501TS does not have any of the manual switches or gauges. As long as the MyRV network is working, I don't see a problem since I have two tablets (living area and bedroom) as well as a smartphone I could use. If the network itself goes down, that would be another story. No fall back in this case.

Like others, it seems ludicrous that turning on lights should become more of a chore just for technology's sake.

More disconcerting to me is the fact that the Generator does not show the hours meter I was accustomed to on my previous RV. How is a person to know when the various service milestones have been reached. (I really don't want to keep a manual log of each time I use the generator!)

Programming Generator Genie Hour Meter

Here are the step by step instructions to program the hour meter on your generator:

1. Press “MyRV Control Panel”

2. Press Yellow MyRV circle “MyRV Control Panel Network Active” in upper left hand corner 5 times

3. Enter Pin (Last four of Software Version number located in lower right hand corner)

4. Press “Done”

5. Press “Configurator”

6. Press “Show All Devices”

7. Press “By Product/Controller”

8. Press “Generator”

9. Press “Hour Meter”

10. Press “Rename”

11. Press “UNKOWN” under “Group” and choose “Hour Meter”

12. Press “UNKOWN” under “Name” and choose “Generator”
13. Press “Send”
14. Press the “home button”
This will take you to the main screen where you should see the “Control Panel Tab”
15. Go in to “Control panel Tab”
16. Choose the Generator App.
You should now see the hour meter displayed in the middle of the screen above the picture of the generator.

It actually was. The FR Factory Rep sent me the directions after I contacted him. He apologized that the factory did not do this during set up. Took me about three minutes. It now works.

Any news on this? I'm very close to deciding to go with a Forester 2431S, but am a bit gun shy about the Lippert system. When I was at the showroom of the dealer a few months ago, he couldn't pull the slide in on a unit, or get anything else to function, when something went wrong.

If the lippert system does go out, am I reading correctly that you are dead in the water? No getting the generator going, opening/closing the slide (is their manual override), etc?

Is the sunseeker still offered with manual switches?

That is why we went with our 2017 Sunseeker 2800. It has switches.

We have the MyRV Tablet system in our 2017 2861DS Forester. You can manually extend and retract the slides, you can start the generator, and there are several lights throughout the unit that have push button on/off switches.

What you cannot do (or at least we haven't found a way) is operate the hot water heater or the water pump and you would not have access to view the monitoring panel for your water/lp/tank levels.

Our BigFoot leveling system is not controlled by the MyRV Tablet.
