They are low cost plastic drawer latches. Very suseptable to breakage in cold wx,
bull in the china shop operation, and of course, misalignment. It is one of 3 defects I found during my shakedown trip. Your awarenesd will pique when the drawer flies open when you turn.

We have a 2013 3010DS that we bought new, only had one major issue, the check engine light came on as we were driving home from the dealership,it was a pinched wire in the engine compartment took it to the local Ford dealer and it was repaired, other then that just some minor stuff that I took care of myself.

We bought our 2015 3010ds brand new in october 2014. We have been going to texas the last 4 winters staying on average 4 months (january through april) averaging around 3,000 miles every trip. We have encountered two problems: Having a motor go out on the bedroom slide and replacing the 15,000 btu air conditioner, both were covered by the extended warranty we bought when we purchased the motor home. We are very happy with our sunseeker and hope to have it for many more enjoyable trips down south. We current have 19,000 miles on the odometer. We have it serviced on a regular basis for routine maintenance and having the 6 tires rotated every 6,000 miles. We tow a 2010 jeep wrangler on every trip, we hardly know it is back there going down the road. The e450 is a power house on hills and mountains and drives like a dream. We have not had any problems with the drive ability it handles like car, no problems with passing or being passed by big rigs . We have more then enough room for the 2 of us and storage is not a problem.

Looking for good reviews on 3010DS
We have a 2015 3010, that we bought new in 2015. Had to replace the outdoor tv that was cracked after our trip home from the dealership. That’s the only thing I can think of. We have around 14,000 miles on it. Love the floor plan. I did several upgrades for driveability. Bilstein shocks, Safe t plus steering stabilizer, rear track bar, and Helwig sway bars. I also put the eternabond tape around the perimeter of the roof as preventive maintenance.

We have a 2017 3010DS with about 3000 miles on it. Haven't had any issues, so far. First trip this year will be in 3 weeks. I've made pretty much the same suspension modifications as "Gidyupgo" and now the unit feels a lot more solid on the road and especially curves - doesn't feel like it's top heavy anymore. My toad is a '06 Jeep Liberty, and I hardly know it's back there.
It's got plenty of storage, power on hills - only real negative is the bathroom. I wouldn't want a smaller one!

Thank you for the comments on towing and driving. We are strongly considering a 3010. Coming from a travel trailer, we are hoping for increased driving comfort.

Other than the OE converter going bad once out of warranty and a cheap latch or two breaking, all has been good since 2011. I am proactive in repairing/replacing things as I see fit. 28,000 miles and still working well.

That would be problematic as Ford discontinued diesels in the E-450 back in 2007.
Assuming you bought your 3010DS in June 2017 vs 2018, what happend in the last year to change your mind about the chassis?

Can you tell me what trak bar you have. I've looked at a couple that say it won't work if you have air bags. I assume because of installation issues. I have a 2016 3010DS. I'm looking to put Belstien's and a track bar before heading out on a XC journey.
Thanks!

It’s not the model, it’s the chassis and exhaust routing that make the difference.

We bought ours new in 2015. Major issues include the coach heater circuit board going bad twice, once during a winter road trip last Christmas, and the coach AC needing to replaced. Minor issues include broken latches and screens coming apart on the windows.
Added seething stabilizer and that made a huge difference in driving. Went from tense grip on steering wheel to relaxed.
We made two long travels from Kentucky, one to Vegas and the other to S Dakota. We are will travel to Florida next month and then travel to Washington by way of L .A. We made several single day drive to parks and campsites around us.
Overall very happy with it.

Looking for good reviews on 3010DS
We’ve had ours since 2012. We’ve had a crack in the shower, a seal around the rear window replaced and the second time I just used some black non leveling chalk, I rewired most of the instrument panel. After six years, those connections started getting brittle because FR didn’t support the wire bundle properly, I had an alignment done by a truck shop which had helped the handling tremendously, I feel like the more miles it runs, the easier the engine works, seems like first 10000 miles it struggled. We upgraded to all LED’s. Keep an eye on the roof, the cap seems need checked twice per year. No drawers have broken. Don’t overload the rear compartments. The driver side started pulling away on me and I had to repair that, not a big deal but could have been avoided. The latches suck. I wish they were slam doors. Radio upfront is an antique.
But overall, I like it a lot. It needs attention and I don’t mind it. So I go at it.
I keep mine stored under cover. Keeps the paint looking great. We added an electrical outlet on the rear side of the bed.
We have only 17000 miles and it still looks brand new.
I go through everything once per year and if I haven’t used it, I take it out.
I actually like driving it. However, it’s noisy going down the road and noisy at the campground w my grandkids using it as a playground.
Do the maintenance, lube slides, condition the seals, inspect it regularly and you will love it.
Also the 3M protection in the front is turning yellow. And it’s getting harder and harder to make it look good. Bug parts everywhere. Sorry I keep thinking of things as I type.
Has some birds try to nest in rear bumper and had to close those little openings off. I use rainx before every trip. I have full body paint and it has some crappy buffing swirls. Buddy of mine is going to make it perfect this summer for me.
Also bottom shower seal had to be fixed. And I had to replace the propane monitor. New batteries this a year also.
You will love it. It’s a typical FR product. Not perfect but pretty good.
