Our 2012 Solera runs the 13.5K air-con okay on the propane generator. Which air-con do you have? 13.5K or 15K? Saw some posts a while ago reporting problems running the 15K air-con on the diesel generator (which has less rated output power than the propane generator).
Also, what other 120 volt items are turned on? I believe, other than air-con, the biggest 120 volt power users are the water heater and the microwave. Next, I think, are the refrigerator and the converter. Easy to turn off the microwave and switch both the water heater and the refrigerator to propane.

What size generator is it?
What are you trying to run on it?

I honestly don't know if a 3600 will run your AC or not.
I never had less than a 4K and it would run the AC.

Just noticed 28 hours on generator we used it for 4 hours at the most since new, from factory to California 24 hours use from delivery company? Seems it also could need service too?

Do your other 120 volt appliances work (e.g. microwave)? Does the generator stall when you try to start the air-con? From your post, sounds like nothing happens when you try to start the aircon - correct?
If microwave works okay on generator, generator is working and transfer switch has properly engaged. Don't understand in that case why air-con would do nothing but work on shore power. Check the aircon circuit breaker - maybe it kicked off after you ran it on shore power.
If the microwave won't run either, there is likely no 120 volt from the generator getting to the coach. Check some outlets to confirm. There is a circuit breaker on the baseplate of the generator that occasionally kicks off on our Solera. Generator runs, but no output when that happens. Easy to reset, but somewhat difficult to find (open the generator door and search the baseplate). If that breaker isn't it, I would suspect the transfer switch.

Was typing when the other posts came in. I suspect the breaker on the generator- by open the generator door I mean both the hatch door and the panel on the front of the generator. The breaker is on the baseplate behind the generator service panel.

If your fridge is set on automatic it will switch to AC when the gen starts up. Make sure fridge and WH are set to propane only. We have the same gen as you and have no problem running a 15k air unless micro is turned on. If you overload it the breaker at the gen will switch off.

Onan gen + air con
In my 2014 Solera 24R I have a 3600 Onan LP gen. I can run Refrigerator, Air Con (15000) and television. Haven't tried the Microwave/convection. I bought mine used a month ago and am learning a lot from this forum. My Gen has 800 hrs on it and it was services when I bought the MH.

On my new rig, 2401, the breaker was off when I picked it up. Of course everything worked fine on shore power during PDI, but I went to break the generator in and had no battery charging, A/C, microwave, etc.
Called the PDI guy and he led me to the breaker and all's well.
