Maiden Voyage

Well, we bought in Feb and weather finally nice enough to take her out.

Alum Creek State Park outside Delaware Ohio and only a few miles from home in case we forgot anything [emoji3]

Full hookup so it is nice for first trip.

So far we have dewinterized, tested everything including furnace since it got cold overnight. Freshwater sitting now with Clorox mix to sanitize.

Only real issues have been screens in kitchen faucet- had to take apart and clean both since we had hardly any water flow, and bulb by entry door needed replaced.

Did find a leaking fitting in water pump area - probably when they hooked up antifreeze during PDI to turn water pump on. Just needs tightening a bit.

Learning how to grill again with the new Coleman portable - grates are flat over the round burners so different from home.

DW figuring out where she wants everything to be stored so rearranging things every now and then.

New windshield privacy cover works well.

All in all not a bad first time out so far.

Working portion done so planning a fire tonight and relax a bit.

Yeah. We looked for couple years before we found the 3051S. Love the layout etc.

Only other issue we had was not enough sockets. Brought my full set but didn't have one to fit the anode. Will have to clean that and put new anode in next trip.

Congratulations! We're loving our 3051S. We got it in FL in January and live in GA so all the stuff you're doing has long been done as well as 3 trips already. Hate the bugs and hurricanes but love the weather more than not.
I'm sure you're going to enjoy yours as much as we are ours.
This forum has been a very valuable resource for all the pesky but necessary details that allow us a safe and enjoyable trip.

Congrats! Love our Forester too! Just back from 5 week, escape from Ohio trip and enjoyed sunny Florida & Carolinas. Alum Creek is a great, hope to get there sometime this summer.

Congratulations, Gumpster, on your first trip. We're planning on taking ours out locally for some beach camping as soon as it's out of the shop. Hopefully next week.

For all the 3051 owners out there, do you hate the cheap latches on the wooden door between the kitchen and bedroom , very hard to close it with just your finger tips. I installed two patio door handles , very easy now.

That's nice. I wish I had a bedroom door. The 2861DS has that cheap accordion door separating the bedroom from the galley.
