MaxxAir Deluxe won't auto open (but will auto close)

My unit has the issue where it won't auto open when power button pressed (or remote)...but will auto close when power button is pressed when the fan is running. The seal definitely sticks, but you don't hear the lift motor even trying.
Wondering if anyone has figured out this issue and fixed it?

Thx

If it's getting 12 volts to the motor when the button is pushed, and it works fine manually, the only thing left is a bad motor or connection in the motor. You may want to check ground to motor to see if that's OK.

That happened to mine. I had to replace the operator mechanism. Very easy job. I found it was broken by opening the cover manually, going on roof, removed outer cover and looked at operator mechanism. Saw it was cracked open on top. Replaced it and cleaned and lubed the gasket. Check first to see if it's broken, or you just need to clean and lube the seal.
If you need one, this is what I bought:

Try a bit on silicone lube on the rubber seal. Mine did the same and it was the seal sticking to the lid.

It's a DC motor, not AC

It's a universal motor, operating on DC, not AC. Therefore you won't hear it making noise in a locked rotor situation.
