Messing with the furnace.

The furnace on my 2014 Forester was not lighting, showing all the symptoms of a bad sail switch. Blowing but no clicky. I pulled it out, not too hard to do, and metered everything. Seemed Ok. I did bend the sail windward about half an inch.
Then I put the furnace back in and ordered a new sail switch from Amazon. I tried the heat again and it worked. That night it acted up a few times then settled down. It's been fine ever since. So when the new switch arrived I just put it in the spare parts box on the "If it ain't broke" maxim.
We shall see.

I had a similar problem last year. I checked for cobwebs and several other things etc and could not find nothing. Mysteriously it started working several days later and it been fine ever since.

Apparently. After all, I was paying a lot of attention to many other troublesome pieces of equipment at the same time.
