Microwave issues

Our Furion microwave does everything but heat food.

Display works, can enter all selections, plate rotates, just doesn’t heat the food

Yup, it is dead. We had the same issue at the house. Your only option is to replace it.

The problem you describe leads me to believe that the issue is in the high voltage section only. There MAY be a shielded fuse near the Magnatron that has blown but newer models do not use that secondary protection. If it is not a fuse it is still repairable however unless you have the KSA’s to do it yourself, it is not cost effective for just a plain microwave. Might be different if it was a convection/grill/microwave combo. Unfortunately, you do not give much info so you get generic answers. Even a year would be a clue. Might be under warranty rendering this entire conversation moot.

A common cause of microwave not heating the food is a bad magnetron. If you are really handy and determined, it could probably be repaired, but the easier solution is to replace the whole microwave oven.

Yep, probably cheaper, faster,and less aggravating to just replace it than repair it.
