mods part 6?

Got tired of pulling an ext cord to the griddle each morning out back to the coach. So I made a few mods during the summer day we had thursday.

What the heck it was a pretty day, lets do two. Why not I got the wall open.

So I added two switched sockets with 12/3 and 20 amp hardware.
The top one is tied to the H/W (120) line and lower is tied to a new (independent/external feed) hardwired 12/3 25ft extension cord.

They are stacked because the ice maker sits about an inch from the same wall. I will post a picture of the bay once it warmsup again and I put it back together.

For the upper I just turn off the H/W to cook out back when using the gen or 30 amp shore.

The main purpose of the lower is to leave our ice maker (also in the rear bay) run while chasing little league day trips and such, and with an added outlet under the couch tied to this line we can also run an oil heater when visiting others with no measurable power source. When we do a week stay I will leave second line powered and use that for the "man" kitchen out back. The feed cord is boxed and connected to 12/3 wire internal and I run the cord down the power rabbit hole when used, thus everything is buttoned and lock up while I am away.

The gen set is great, but I rather not run it hours on end.

DW said a few years back I needed a new hobby, think I found one..
Guess I move to addressing the inner duals next, PITA with TPMS.

Like many I run TPMS and fought with the inside duals. I went with 5-1/2" air guard (LS-534N-12FC) and rubber plugs from shiny wheels and rv. This will do until I replace tires with long inside stems in few years..

The rims were painted (lazy, with the tires on, used shampoo as the tire sheild) and wheel centers installled.

Thanks - interesting idea. I have a TPMS, but haven't used it. Seemed like banging around down there might cause more problems than it would solve.

I use TST TPMS, just haven't installed them yet for the spring runs. With the new valve extensions I am letting them sit for a couple of weeks to check for bleed down (Also its been raining to suit Noah).

Did some inside work and just finished trimming out the open area under the rear bench storage area to keep small items from being lost under the sub floor (gerrrr.....my pics are too large to load).

Next mod will focus on the dash radio cut off of switch.
Followed with aux rear lighting on the back of the jk toad rear cargo rack we use for two week and longer runs.... more lights the better.

I have the pass thru TST 507 sensors on rear duallies and used the shiny wheels rubber handhole stabilizers on inner tires. So far 3yrs with hardly any pressure loss(I'm using the FR OEM FlexxAire extensions). They were a pain to get on(warmed up with hair dryer).Check every couple of trips with a pressure guage to verify ssensor readings. Big fan of these stabilizers

Thanks for the pre test, my comfort level just went up. I changed to passthur TPMS sensors that I had for the rears. I think I am mod final on the tires / rims, less battery change outs this springl

Did get the pic to load on the under couch storage. You can see in the pic the access door I left for whatever reason I need access (my 120v box wire is back there). The sub went to tbe attic.

The 120v box on the right with a 12 ga extension cord clears the bench base. I use this to power an oil heater (or ice make from the same feed bay outlet, summer) where 30 amp is not avail....

Just ordered a camp chef and gave my blackstone to my daugther for her 5ver. Should fit in the long bay behind the genny. Will review later.

Lets insulate the water box.. use some left over exterior siding insulate.

Fitted material on all six sides, and triple lined the floor.
On the right side of the pic where the heater vent is shown the horizonal water lines were sitting directly on the rotocast shelf so I places a sheet there also, couldn't hurt..

Took about twenty minutes, Blue tape is just letting the glue set up.

May wire up a 25watt lamp in there for heat and negate the furnace use.

Fascinating, Hoglu. I was thinking of insulating the inside of t compartment (at least the rear are and outer wall -inside of compartment door). Maybe the outside underneath the floor, but that would be a bit more difficult.
