But I mounted everything on a piece of ply and wired it up including an extra relay and I'm hoping to mount it in the bay where the water pump compartment is. I have a switch for it if I use the coach batteries or I can go to a switched ignition source, haven't decided yet. Just have to suck it up now and get under there and do it. [emoji12]

Let me know how it works out. This is on my mod/upgrade list.

You are a brave man Tomsby. For me, I would need to call a professional for that.

Lol I have found a place that can do it, but I figured I can at least get the components mounted. Then I was pretty confident I had the wiring with the extra relay figured out and it works on a test battery. The actual spicing into the airlines should be pretty easy (famous last words) two cuts with three tees. So I guess we'll see when I actually get under the rig. But checking and filling those bags is such a pain it keeps me motivated.

I agree on the pain. I often thought it would be nice to just push a button like the big rigs. I will be watching to see how well it works.

Well I spent the last couple days on my back under the rig and got the Airlift One compressor installed. I ended up putting it in the back of the long compartment on the drivers side. I ran the wiring to the coach batteries with a relay to a switch mounted above the battery cutoff and I ran all the wiring and airlines in cable sheaths the same as the factory.
The install works with no leaks but it turns out the manifold is not communicating with the remote to set the air pressure so the compressor won't shut off. I talked to customer service to trouble shoot it and they are sending me a new manifold.
But here are some pics of the install.

I guess that is one I will leave to the professionals. That is way above my pay grade.[emoji41] Looks good.

Success! After scratching my head for awhile looking at the wiring schematics I realized I had a wire hooked up wrong and now everything is working perfectly. Wireless control for the airbags finally. We have a big trip coming up in a few weeks, Calgary to Las Vegas and I can’t trust the weather until then so I winterized while I was there too.
Last thing was a wireless camera mounted above the hitch that works with the Garmin GPS. The main backup camera is aimed high to see the toad and behind.

What kind of camera? How good is the image? Doesn't' it get dirty often? Is that on the TV or on the MH?

It’s on the motorhome just above the hitch, the camera is the Garmin bc30 and is compatible with my rv660 gps. (Plus a list of others). The picture seemed pretty good, we’ll see how dirty it gets but pretty easy to give it a wipe before using it to hitch up the toad.

How did you route the wires to the back of the surge guard display?

Ran wire up where water heater sits then over to the step into bed area. That front step pulls off. Across the step into area under fridge which is all open. Then installed display in wall on side of fridge.

Thanks, I wondered if there was a way o access under that step. It looked like it was screwed to the upper floor. How is it attached at the kitchen level? Btw, hope you all had a great holiday season. 4 1/2 months to spring.

I removed the metal corner molding (it is screwed it) then the front piece is wood and has a few small nails. It easily pulls off.

I just went through the thread from the beginning and found it interesting that no one mentioned replacing the jackknife couch. I like the storage underneath it, but it is hard on the sitting apparatus. I am planning on checking out alternatives this spring. Hopefully, I will find a place that has what I like in stock somI can sit on it and see how it feels, then have it installed. It would also remove access to the subwoofer underneath. I did add the swivel mechanism for the passenger seat. It is the most comfortable set in the MH.

Yes I knew I couldn't sit on that couch for one minute. I got the theater seating even though I lost a sleeping area

Me too it’s definitely on the list, I’ve been keeping an eye on what others have been using to it. For now a couple collapsible footstools help.

Well I took the wife to the RV show for her birthday last night , one of the dealers carries RV furniture locally and we got a deal on a pair of recliners with heat and massage. Yahoo! can’t wait to get rid of that couch, maybe I’ll try to get a couple bucks for it on Craigslist.

The subwoofer is behind the recliner closest to the front of the rig.
